EDGE Grant Winners Announced

Phi Sigma Rho has been dedicated to developing the next generation of women engineering and technical fields. Funding leadership development is just one way the Foundation works to achieve its mission and vision in this area. Thanks in part to generous donations made to our grant programs, the Phi Sigma Rho Foundation has been able to give grants to fund educational and charitable programs to develop Phi Rhos into bold leaders, strong women, and supportive sisters in their communities!

The Phi Sigma Rho Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s EDGE Grant.  For the first time, two groups have been selected to receive the grant:

  • Celine Sahara, Sarah Malaska, Abigail Atchley - The Ohio State University Beta Chapter - Buckeye Space Launch Initiative; for costs associated with project team travel and competition at the largest intercollegiate rocketry competition in the world
  • Claire Kaiser, Hannah Johnson, Alina Stuleanu, Emma Holder, Lilly Rile, Maggie Holman, Regina Park - Purdue University Alpha Chapter -  Phi Rho Racing Kart Updates for Grand Prix; for updates to the kart, including the clutch, tires, and engine to compete in the annual engineering student competition.

We are extremely proud of both teams and look forward to further highlighting these teams at the National Conference. Thank all of those that applied to the EDGE Grant this year - it is amazing to see the research and technical projects our members are taking on to develop their skills!
