It’s a Penguin Party! - Campaign for Phi Sigma Rho: 40 for 40
In honor of the Phi Sigma Rho Foundation’s Spring Anniversary campaign, we are celebrating Sigmand and all things penguins through March and April! Through this campaign, it is our goal to share how the Foundation plays a role in building the future for Phi Sigma Rho members and the communities while also working towards our $40,000 goal for essential programs that support our mission of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit of Phi Sigma Rho. Through scholarships that support Phi Rho’s with their education, EDGE Grants for hands-on technical projects that focus on collaboration and project management, and DreamGirls Grants that support building the next generation of women in engineering and technology through DreamGirls programs, the Foundation is proud to support the educational and philanthropic efforts of Phi Sigma Rho. Penguin Raffle: We are kicking off with a raffle and opportunity to buy one of 40 hand-crocheted penguins. These penguins come with a unique profile and color for your choosing. Buy tickets to the raffle to win one of seven unique penguins named after the Board of Directors, or adopt a penguin outright with your gift to the donation. Raffle tickets are just $5 each, or you can buy 5 for $20! All penguins and raffle tickets can be purchased here. Raffles will take place April 10th and winners will be contacted via email. If you don’t win the penguin of your choosing, there is still a chance to adopt a penguin to call your very own through the end of April! View the penguins available here.
Penguin Pals: For a short time only, active and alum members can join the Penguin Pals Program - a program typically offered to active members who donates a sum of $100 during their active period receives a special penguin charm as a sign of appreciation. Now through the end of April, the Foundation is offering alum a chance to be a part of Penguin Pals by making a single donation of $100. In return, your donation will be recognized with your name added to the Penguin Pals section of our website and the penguin charm. In addition, if you adopt a penguin, you can get both the charm and the crocheted penguin! Become a Penguin Pal today with your donation here.
Penguin Party on Social Media: The fun doesn’t stop there! Follow along on social media to #PSRPenguinParty and #PSRF40for40 to learn more about Foundation initiatives and how active members are showing their Phi Rho spirit with their very own chapter penguin. Chapters with the most qualifying points at May 1st will be recognized with a plaque in Fall 2024, as well as at the Foundation Awards during Conference this summer.
